Join us for camp action, adventure, learning, food, and songs!

Free Community Camp Firelight
                 Sunday, August 4 -Thursday, August 8
We have camp learning for children, youth, and adults!

VBS begins on Sunday night:
Camp Bethany Firelight VBS begins with a free supper for Bethany/New Hope and the community at 4:00 pm.
We will sing camp songs while Sam and Lu will guide us on our adventure at Camp Bethany!
We will also have registration and making of name tags.

Monday-Thursday nights:
Free supper served from 5:15 pm-6:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. We plan on being outside from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm (weather permitting) for activities. Stamping will be in Fellowship Hall.
*Scout reunion for current and past Girl/Boy Scouts on Monday night.
*Some youth events may be during the day, and have a cost associated with them.

Camp Highlights:
*Thursday night is camping at Bethany! Bring your camper or tent! We have indoor water and electricity.
Children staying overnight must have an adult with them.
*We encourage your family to bring non-perishable food as we support the Kingdom Come Food Pantry.
*S’mores by the camp fire, cornhole, and games (table and outdoor) every night.

Learning About Jesus 

Camp Firelight will teach us to trust that God will go with us, lead the way, share wisdom,
give us peace, and spark joy as we celebrate the good news of Jesus in our own lives and in the lives of others. We will also learn ways we can connect with and put our trust in God whenever we are afraid, challenged, or called to do God's work in the world and share the Good News of God's love through Jesus Christ.


Mission Outreach 

Mission Outreach:
* All participants will be making Dignity Kits for Midwest Mission Distribution Center.
*Children and youth will be decorating cupcakes for our neighbors at the New Community Shelter  (and eating one too!)
*Youth and adults (if they want) will be helping neighbors in need in the local community. 

Games and Activities For Everyone!

*Student adventures will include:
   Geocaching around the church property.
   Learn to start a fire (supervised).
  Learn how to tie special knots.
  Use a compass,  and other fun life skills.
  Participants will play darts with balls, and a
  6 foot blow up dart board.

*Youth will be:
  Geocaching around the Green Bay area. 
  Heading to Titletown.
  Go on an adventure to the N.E.W. Zoo and  
    possible zip line.
  And, youth will play darts with balls, and a
    6 foot blow up dart board.

*Adults will enjoy:
 Learn how to Stamp- making cards.
 Joining a Scout reunion.
 Learning life skills from Scouts.
 Play cornhole, cards, and so much more yet to come!  

Everyone Is An Explorer 
Thursday is Family Night and Camping Night

**On Thursday, families are invited to join us for a sending off worship.  We would like families to join campers as  we praise God, receive camp souvenirs.

**We will have Communion together with animal crackers and juice. We will  pray everyone forward to trust God each day! All ages are welcome to receive Communion.

**Thursday night is camp out night!  Everyone is invited to bring a tent or camper to stay overnight at Bethany!  Younger children are required to have an adult with them through the night. 



Programming for youth 6th grade -12th grade includes:

*Geocaching in Green Bay!  More details to come.

*Exploring the beauty of the N.E.W Zoo, and possible zip line experience.  (This does have a cost)

*Hitting Titletown for low key fun and hanging out. 

*Playing many games -  Outdoor games  include a  ***NEW - 6 ft blow up dart board.  Balls are kicked to the board to earn points,  volleyball, and 9 square.

*Helping our neighbors -  We will be using our hands and feet to make a difference in our community.

*All participants are invited to bring non-perishable food items for the community food pantries.

 

Programming for adults includes:

*Card making with rubber stamps.  Come to learn how to make unique, personalized cards with special stamps, designs, and ink.

*Games!!!  If you just want to sit with friends to play a game, or do a puzzle, you are welcome to!  We have many table games.  We will have cornhole, volleyball, ladder golf, and more!

*Helping our neighbors -  We will be putting together Dignity Kits for MMDC, and decorating cupcakes for The New  Community Shelter Lunch we do each month.  

*You are encouraged to be near the fire pit at 6:00 pm for our opening welcome, singing, and prayer time for a great night.  At the end of the night, you are invited at 7:40 ish to come back to the firepit for our closing time of sharing and announcements.  

*Monday night we will have a  reunion for those who were Girl and Boy Scouts.  Come visit and connect with those who were in Scouts, or who are in Scouts today.  I am sure there are camp and cookie stories to share!   

*All participants are invited to bring  non-perishable food items for the community food pantries.
